Bank of Kathmandu Ltd. has received the prestigious ‘Bank of the Year 2011- Nepal’ award from The Banker -Financial Times London. The judging panel from The Banker magazine choseBank of Kathmandu Limited as the winner of Bank of the Year in Nepal. ‘Bank of the Year ’ is the world’s longest running international banking title and is testament to the strong management, sound business model and prudent risk approach of the winner Bank.
The award was announced by Financial Times during its annual award hosting ceremony on 30th November 2011 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Park Lane, London. The event was attended by more than 400 guests from across the globe. The award was announced and presented by the Editors of The Banker Magazine and Michael Buerk - former BBC correspondent.
Chairman of the Bank Mr. Narendra Kumar Basnyat and Mr. Ajay Shrestha Chief Executive Officer on behalf of the bank jointly received a Trophy stating Bank of the Year 2011 and Certificate of Merit at the ceremony.
Bank of Kathmandu has been providing banking service through 49 places: 43 branches and 6 counters throughout the country. Apart from this, the customers can utilize the facility of its network in 52 ATM counters. Bank of Kathmandu will be contemplating further enhancement in its services by introducing new plans and programs for the welfare of all its existing and potential customers as well as to the wider part of the society.
